This Agave can become very large if planted out and watered enough. The stiff, "undulating" growing leaves without teeth are very distinct. In sunny places grey, otherwise very dark green colored

Very barren, mostly sunny locations in naked, vertical cliffs or steep, rocky slopes. Mostly volcanic rock. Not easily accessible. Hot and windy


Remarks

Easily to distinguish species. Gentry suspects hybrids with Agave vilmoriniana which we've seen south of Bacanora (Sonora)
